Note:
This course is not for complete beginners. It is best for producers who can get around their DAW and know at least the basics of music theory.
You will make essential synth sounds from scratch (Serum used) and improve your ability to compose melodic electronic styles of music.
If you are not confident in your chord & melody writing, I recommend you enroll in Chord Control before or alongside this course.
Â
I made this course because I love making electronic music.
But for years, I wasnât that great at it.
Iâd watch tutorials and try to emulate the sounds (poorly).
Iâd browse presets looking for the one sound that would fix it all.
This almost never worked.
Then I realized why: I wasnât thinking like an electronic producer.
So I started studying songs and practicing a lot... and I began to see patterns.
Reese basses that were warm and supportive...
Supersaws that filled in the frequency spectrum perfectly....
Arpeggio plucks that created addictive bounce...
Once I started recognizing and categorizing them, I began to hear them everywhere.
It was like learning the color palette behind popular electronic music.
I stopped hunting for âthe perfect presetâ and started designing sounds that actually fit my ideas.
I began to feel more free in my synth design, confident in my automations, and more creative overall.
So I recorded tutorials on what I'd learned - partly to organize my thoughts, partly to share with students.
Now theyâre all here, in this course.
It's not about chasing the latest bass design trend.
It's about the foundational ideas that keep showing up across genres.
They've helped me write EDM, pop, future bass, house, Jpop, even video game tracks.
Follow along and you'll finish this course with:
- A library of go-to sound design recipes you'll start hearing everywhere
- The confidence to open Serum (or other similar synths) and build simple, beautiful sounds that work
- Songwriting formulas to turn these sounds into ideas that feel alive and colorful
- A more consistent, intentional workflow - from sketch to finished song
I donât promise this course will make you the next superstar electronic producer.
(but if it does, please DM me đ
)
What I can promise is if youâve felt stuck, uninspired, or overwhelmed trying to make any kind of melodic electronic music - this course will help you get moving forward again.
