Try this music affirmation

Here’s a perspective that has helped me in my music creation. I wanted to share it with you in case it gives you some inspiration or resonance in your own journey.

“Today, I will show up and make space for music.

I will create with open curiosity and see what comes through me.

I work on my skills in order to be better prepared for when the muse speaks through me.

As I work on my skills, it allows me to create with more fluency, which shows the universe that I am a safe space for it to channel through.

I will not allow whatever comes through to be trampled on by the comparison-oriented lens of “quality.”

Instead, I will ask the music what it is trying to say, and help it find its way into the world through this identity.

I give love to the music that comes through.

If it is trying to be different and unique, I allow it to be.

I recognize that sometimes, the only thing better than best is different.”
